Wendy Drake

As The Webster Group’s president and CEO, Wendy Drake brings more than 25 years of experience working in global event management and production with government agencies, corporations, associations, and non-profit organizations. 

Ms. Drake joined The Webster Group (TWG) in 2001, and since then has been an integral part of the success that prompted the Washington Business Journal to name TWG a top DC event and meeting planner for the past eleven years. 

In her tenure as President and CEO, the company has expanded to producing events across the United States and globally.

Ms. Drake oversees events ranging in size from 10 to 43,000 participants including multi-day conferences and conventions, trade missions, dedication and commissioning ceremonies, galas, and concerts.

She has worked with U.S. presidents, first ladies, foreign heads of state, ambassadors, members of Congress, cabinet officials, foreign delegations, senior military leaders, CEOs, and entertainers throughout her career. She thrives in working with her team to deliver creative events on time and within budget despite shifting priorities, demanding expectations, and stringent deadlines. With a keen understanding of the priorities, she and her team create plans that match the resources available to the organization to achieve desired outcomes.

She is a member of CHIEF, MPI, and Women in International Trade. She also serves on the Customer Advisory Board for Birmingham and Visit Baltimore. She earned her MBA from George Washington University and her Bachelor of Science in Criminology from Drury University. In 2018, Ms. Drake was awarded Smart Meetings' Smart Women in Meetings Award.

Ms. Drake has an extensive network of hospitality and event professionals around the world as well as leaders in the DC business community.
